If I’d had another cup of coffee in me, this totally would’ve been me, but I’m totally feeling it on the inside!!!
-
I hear you. I just seemed to be a bit wired on life since the 116th Congress was sworn in.

Should have seen me yesterday, was a mess, crying, cheering, applauding all from my living room, never had seen the swearing in of a speaker. Yesterday was an awesome start to the New Year!
-
It was! I was high on the whole event all day! Then THE moment...

I wondered if she was picturing Trump's head at that moment. I was!

-
She does have that look doesn't she? lol...

-
I thought so, but I might have been projecting.

#CorruptGOP has used Citizens United to line their pockets with unlimited Campaign money from foreign hostile countries and large Corporations and the Wealthiest.#VoteBlueToSaveAmericaThanks. Twitter will use this info to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This would be the greatest single achievement of this or any future Congress. The corporate source of unlimited money truly is the root of all political evil. Getting rid of it won’t make us virtuous overnight (and no, we never were), but it will restore balance to the people.

Legit question: Is the Amendment the best path for this? Why not pursue a HR? I'm for it, natch, but wonder whether this will be successful.
-
Supreme Court must follow the Constitution. It is not bound by a HR.
-
Ah, okay. So if I follow correctly the Amendment would course-correct Citizens United then. Is that about right?
-
It would essentially edit the First Amendment.
-
There's nothing in the First Amendment that says corporations are equal to American citizens. That was a Supreme Court opinion. Now that we have seen the terrible results of that decision, it is time to correct it.
-
Corporate personhood has been a thing for over 100 years. Your ignorance isn't an excuse.
-
Also remember that this case was essentially a politician trying to silence their critics. You cheering for the politician pretty much says it all.
