    In addition to better utility/affordability/emissions (on the right track!), these manufacturers need to show meaningful improvements in pedestrian (and general other-than-occupant) safety, full lifecycle carbon impact, use of renewables, etc. Anyway, vote for public transit.

    I say this as someone who has secretly craves an EV truck for both "legitimate" reasons (off-roading, high-clearance camping/hiking, towing, hauling) and because I'm a giant sucker. There's real innovation happening, and it's "better" than an ICE truck. But that's not enough.

    This is really good. I worry about what happens when electrification offers too-convenient excuses for buying big trucks and SUVs. If anything, early electric trucks are doubling down on the "sf/military cosplay" (Cybertruck) and "REI catalog adventurer" (Rivian) marketing.

    I don't know who needs to hear this, but there's no point to sending an IM that says "Hi Kyle," and then waiting until I respond before you ask your question. (And then you're not at your desk anymore, so when I say "what's up?" I don't know if I can leave my desk, and then...)
