Chairman Fred Hampton was only 21 years old. It amazes me how some of the folks who celebrate him today are the same people who acted (act) as gatekeepers and block out young people in today’s movement spaces.

Free the Vote is a new documentary by
@ACLU_MD. It shows how racist it is to deny the right to vote for millions of people who are incarcerated. 1.8 million Black people can't vote due to a felony conviction. This doesn't have to be our country. RSVP: https://bit.ly/33CJvBy pic.twitter.com/FpJSeSMRnfShow this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -

A Black woman will have had a significant role in the development of
#COVID19 vaccines and in saving the world. Her stolen cells were used in vaccine development. This year, she would have been 100. Henrietta Lacks. Know her name. White kid kills two people in cold blood with an illegal firearm and is considered a hero. But Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, Kalief Browder, Jordan Davis, Michael Brown and many others are considered to be unworthy and deserving of being killed. Arrested at 17 for capital murder, I shot no one, triggerman was identified, I was at the scene but didn't have a gun, still in prison 18 yrs later, bail was denied. 17 yr old Kyle shot 3 people. All I can say is him & his family have been treated a lot better than me and mine.

I had the craziest experience in TSA this morning. An entitled white man behind me insisted on cutting me in line because I was “still taking my shoes off.” When I said he could wait like everyone else, he started going off about how he’s “pre check” and “first class” 1/3
