A shame to finish just outside of the points as the pace was there, but recovering from the 1st stint was very hard. I think the key point was during the first stint: on the softs we expected the degradation to be on the rear but we finished the front tyres & when you've understeer you’re a sitting duck. I think that’s probably the best Quali lap of my life! I’m very happy with today, it feels great to put it together here as it’s a long track with many corners. I quite like Yas Marina,it’s a nice modern facility, although maybe it has too many run-off areas for my liking, nevertheless it’s very technical,especially the last sector. Q2 was very solid, we had one shot with a different compound & we took it, there was quite a bit of pressure on us, but we managed.
