    Probably my last time at The Club at the Pittsburgh airport for awhile. I don’t really understand pours with a purpose since all drinks are complimentary..in any case skipping the dire Sauvignon blanc this a.m for extra bloody, extra Mary.

    I’m thinking of a different f-slur right now and it ends with “you.”

    Anyway, if you’re lucky enough to have extraordinary competitive advantages unrelated to merit, at least acknowledge those advantages and then do everything within your power to, you know, have merit. Bonus for bringing people with you who had none of those advantages at all.

    The Club, Pittsburgh airport. When I was here a few years ago the food offerings were pretzels and pierogis— now it’s...cheese cubes. Drinking a too fruity Sauvignon blanc because the only rose they have is sparkling and I don’t do bubbles.

    Pro tip for intrntl film fest travelers: Let the airlines lose your 3 heavy bags loaded w you & partner’s black tie wear. You can then rush through customs to make collecting flight & move easy through LAX rideshare labyrinth as airline will eventually deliver bags to your door.

    Alas our connecting flight to Amsterdam arrived too late for me to get to the KLM flagship lounge. Grabbed this at a kiosk across from the gate— a tad sweet but surprisingly quaffable. And only 3 euros!
