I know there is a lot of hidden shilling going on, but you'd think a company would fight it, not let it openly ruin any value reviews had.

Amazon should do a "remove all" for all reviews that are "disclosed" as shilling, and fight this. It's so dominant—why weaken its advantage?

There are many open sites where companies openly give away product in return for "review". Amazon can punish those products & discourage it.
