    Last month, security company exposed major Android developer CooTek for using adware to bombard users with ads. Cootek apologized, updated its apps. But we found it then snuck in new code to keep the malicous activity going. So Google banned it:

    NEW: We caught a major Chinese Android app co. committing large scale ad fraud, taking lots of unnecessary permissions, and not clearly disclosing that user data could end up in China. Also: Google initially wouldn't remove the apps from the Play store.
