This is the text we are looking at the next two Sundays at Christ City South Van and Christ City Kitsilano. Racial divisions are real and persisting problems. And sin.https://twitter.com/jaredcwilson/status/1055428559479693313 …
I just don't see that Paul in Gal.2 was addressing ethnic/racial injustice. Gal.2 is firmly grounded in the doctrine of justification. The contention was Jew and Gentile. Circumcision was the issue. The error was that salvation came thru following Jewish law, not ethnic injustice

There is no ethnicity at the Lord's table.

Seems like lots of ethnicity at the Lord’s table. “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…” - Revelation 7:9-10

The empathis is not on the tribes and tongues and people and nations, or the throngs that are worshipping, it's on he who sits on the throne. John was not writing about how all this ethnic stuff is going to play out in heaven.

This is a text that beautifully teaches the extensive nature of the work of Christ, that the elect are drawn from every nation. We must not take the emphasis off the universality of the work of Christ and shift it down on ethnicities and skin colors.
