Well, it is 73F in Denver, today: so I guess it’s as good a time as ever to acknowledge: http://www.memecpy.com . Writeup: http://misc.ktemkin.com/fusee_gelee_nvidia.pdf … Sample payload: http://misc.ktemkin.com/fusee.bin  Guides and information so you can use it too are forthcoming. :)

Is it possible for you to upload fusee.bin to the github? I wasn't sure where to find it originally.

That’s literally just an example payload. (The real payload is e.g. Atmosphère or nvtboot.)

Ah ok. Super cool work by the way, and I am grateful for your political dedication. I'll try it as soon as I can get my hands on some gamebits. Should I redact any of the information displayed in the example?

I wouldn’t post your SBK/DK to the internet. It doesn’t matter much, but it identifies your device. :)

        What's a "strap"?

In hardware jargon, it’s a name for an input pin that’s used for configuration. Usually you’d tie (or “strap”) them to VCC or GND.

"unseating itseMMC board-- is likely the most straightforward" : How is it more straightforward than the buttons combination? Genuinely asking as it sounds more complicated from the eyes of an end user like me.

The disclosed report wasn’t intended for end users— it was intended for NVIDIA engineers who wanted to validate a vulnerability. :)

Sure— its way better secured that any of the other devices I’ve seen using the Pixel C. There are a bunch of architectural flaws that lead to compromise, but the actual issues with the Horizon have been relatively minor and correctable (maybe minus nspwn/smhax).

Yeah, almost definitely— unless you lat the battery run down in the test payload, I can’t see how that could affect things. (Let me know if your problems keep happening, though— I can explore the battery controller a little.)

I try to explain better if google allows me to control the battery from the operating system and stands for example at 50% then start the payload and I let it load a bit 'then boot the system and is at 55% then charge
