Some interesting evidence for the value of diversity in startup investing. VC partners all from the same school have 11% lower performance, ethnic homogeneity costs you about 30%, and not having women costs around 20%. Yet funds are very homogenous.

Text Shot: The information showed that the venture capital world is incredibly homogenous, consisting mostly of white men from liberal arts colleges who majored in economics and attended business school. Harvard Business School alone accounted for some 25 percent of VCs.

A lot of VCs, engineers and founders are inherently anti-social at home, on wkds, at parties etc. For many incl me, its easier to be social around a topic - e.g. venture, tech, politics, etc. Its hard when there isn't an established context to break ice.

Amanda Cox has a Wikipedia page! It took about eight months to make it happen, and the help of so many people I can't even remember them all. But now when she wins her Nobel we can link to it.

Yes, #1 job of a founder is to sell their vision to early cheerleaders and teammembers. Anyone who cannot do so sends strong signals they are not (yet) investable.
