For gods sake, it’s not about the number of cases! It’s about the number of hospitalizations, ventilator patients, deaths. The media are so blind.

I hear you but eventually cases lead to hospitalizations, vent patients and deaths. The number of cases helps them know what to prepare for in the coming weeks. Not a perfect barometer but the only one we really have.
