I have somehow made it this far generally avoiding history books — I feel like I get enough nonfiction 9-5. But I’ve gotten a hankering for the subject lately. Gimme your recommendations, Twitter.
The Great Influenza is really worth your time if you haven't read it yet. It's as much about the history of American medical science and the Woodrow presidency as it is the pandemic (though I am only halfway through.)
