Good luck finding people, but its a relatively small group of folks. In our most recent survey we found that 26% of independents said they would choose to vote in the Dem primary. In our May 2016 survey, 35% said they'd vote in Dem primary.pic.twitter.com/XkegVHO9k8
Thanks! I was looking at these numbers earlier. I'm wondering if they would be higher if the Q explicitly said 'presidential' primary? Voters used to top 2 might not understand the pres isn't on all ballots.

Good point, although I think it might be an error in the report as I'm pretty sure the question says "presidential primary". I'm not sure that people are that savvy overall, but who knows. Likely was higher in May 2016 than in Nov 2019 because it was right before the election.
