Just a thought: A bunch of professional journalists trashing student journalists isn’t productive, regardless of how concerning the paper’s argument may be. There are teaching AND learning moments, and I’m sure we all had them, maybe before Twitter allowed them to spread.

I hear that point on the public nature of how this has played out, but I do think it's useful and instructive for these student journalists to learn from the criticism they're getting from professional journalists
