Well, folks weren't exactly happened with the very late editorial push for a carve out, and I think
@LorenaSGonzalez made that pretty damn clear in her presentation of her own#AB170, which she voted against. Firewalls between news/opinion/sales be damned...
If they seriously chose not to invite reporters because editorial pages -- which reporters don't control -- had an opinion on the bill, that would be concerning.

I don't think that's it. I think it was fast-track to help change the subject of the end-of-session mess. I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of a presser was to avoid those questions. Maybe
