Also always interested in how 9/11 was handled in classrooms and how would it be handled today? I was in an elementary school in Ohio that chose to entirely guard us from the news. No TVs on. Just teachers mysteriously, quietly sobbing and parents checking their kids out early.https://twitter.com/sawsan24/status/1171847078676295680 …
I was in 6th grade and they told us nothing all day, just cancelled after school activities. But kids were walking around school saying *Japan* bombed us.

I was in 6th grade in California. Because of the time difference, we had all already watched the towers fall on TV before we got to school, so it was all anybody could talk about. There was a moment of silence during morning announcements and we even discussed it during class.

I was a senior in high school. We were not allowed to turn the TV’s on or discuss in class as it was happening. I listened to coverage over radio during study hall. I did not see any footage until I got home from school around 4 PM. I have very vivid memories from that day.
