Weed has a cool little museum. Elsa Rupp Nature Study area is a short ~15 min walk if there is a break in the rain. There’s a bunch of stuff if you go north to Medford, but that’s more like an hour drive.
California Twitter: I need help! I planned a trip to Mt. Shasta this weekend and hoped to snowshoe but it looks like it’ll be rainy. Suggestions on what to do in the area? Restaurants? Things to see? Anywhere with in, say, a 30 mile radius.

You should check out Lava Beds National Monument. There is a lot of history up in that region of California that many people never learn. Also, there are some interesting lava tubes in the area
