Wow. Alex Pedersen hires Toby Thaler, whose group, SCALE, is a prolific challenger of more density. Strikes me that Pedersen could be a little lonely on the new council.

Erica makes this point, but the Chamber's whole thing post head-tax was that the council should support HALA and zoning reforms. Thaler... does not. I actually asked Marilyn Strickland about this w/r/t Pedersen on Civic Cocktail right after the election:
