This reads as concern trolling. The Committee on the Whole is recommending changes to preserve the D.C. Arts Commission’s independence from a takeover by Mayor Bowser.
But D.C. Arts Commission staffers—pace several arts commissioners—are saying that the Council’s budget fixes would cut off city support for the Commission entirely.
