    50yrs ago tonight, as I was exiting our Catholic church, someone from the parking lot shouted: “They've killed King! Martin Luther King is dead!" A cheer arose from some of the all-white crowd exiting the church. It burns in my memory to this day. Thank you Dr King. We carry on

    A little context may help here… Everyday the White House pool - about 16 reporters - goes into various 'sprays', receptions, cabinet meetings to see what the president is up to. I've done thousands of these things. We almost always 'shout' questions. 1/

    Conspiracy theories are dangerous for many reasons. Among other things, they provide a way to reduce mental distress by changing our perception of a problem without actually doing anything to solve the problem. They're the mental equivalent of a pacifier. 1/
