Space travel. Time is and illusionary human construct. Causality and all that mess.

Fun fact: Ulysses S. Grant (I think it was) got elected President in part because as a general he won the Battle of New Orleans, the last battle of the War of 1812 -- fought two weeks after peace was signed because the news hadn't yet reached New Orleans.

It's crazy how it still takes about 3 days to get from LA to New York by train. No improvement since the 1930s.

Is there a current version of this map? Is it still possible to go from NYC to west coast by train in 3 days?

Google Maps suggest a NYC-LA trip of 2 days 19 hours by train, which is a ~6% improvement in 90 years
