Carbon Tax cheerleaders storm the pitch & move the goalposts. When politicians imposed this wallet-sucker on us they said it would be revenue neutral, stop at $30 per ton, create affordable “green” energy, conjure a social license for natural resources & be “revenue neutral” NOPE

They always move the goalposts. Everyday people are struggling to make ends meet here largely because of our insane taxes & fees & the thinking that leads to them. We pay largely at the pump & on our natural gas bills & on everything we need trucked to us. Most things.

Carbon dioxide emissions are going UP ⬆️ in BC even though we have the highest in Canada. We were told this big tax would reduce carbon emissions, create a “social license” for our oil and gas extraction & sale & be revenue neutral. Not true!

Carbon tax is a cash grab. Here's the proof: In BC (highest Cdn Ctax) emissions UP, car/truck fuel use at record high Driving to work, getting kids to sports, hauling groceries NOT optional for families. Punitive carbon taxes don't help Credit for 1st reporting this

Thanks so much to for speaking with us about BC's rising CO2 emissions. They're going up even though we have the highest in Canada. We were told the tax would reduce emissions. Not working. LISTEN HERE.

Relevant as he’s attacking the natural resource of oil & gas, sporting an anarchy symbol while living in the most technologically advanced society in human history due in large part to the extraction of said natural resources, while using those natural resources to run his mouth?

If those emission-reducing tools are viable, they do not need the gov’t to “invest” by taking more from taxpayers. Private equity will find them and invest as much as needed. If there really is an economic opportunity in “green” initiatives, a tax is the wrong approach.
