Sitting on that grand jury must be the most incredibly interesting thing in the world.
-
I sat on a grand jury in New York City. Confirmed: fascinating. Frequently I was like WHAAAAA that dude is undercover?
-
OMG, I have so many questions. I'm sure you couldn't answer ANY of them ;)
-
It was ten years ago so not sure it matters at this point. I don’t remember any names of many specific details (ok, well maybe a few)
-
So have the members of this grand jury all quit their jobs by now? I mean how does this work? Do they get to go home every night?
-
I served on a federal grand jury for 3 days a month (tues-thurs) for 18 months. Lucky for me, my job paid me and I received a $40/day stipend from the govt.
-
Wow, what kept friend and family from knowing and asking about it? If I knew someone on this jury I would be hounding them for info
-
It's illegal for jurors or the attorneys to talk about it. Subjects and witnesses can say what they want, but not jurors. This is to preserve the reputation of those who are being investigated, should nothing come of it. Once an indictment is made public, you can read it all.

I would like to see more (any?) educational talk about who exactly is a Grand Jury. They are not a what, but a who. Regular people called to serve, similar to jury duty, but they commit, voluntarily to serve beyond what most jurists are called for. They deserve recognition.
-
I think we are better served for them to remain anonymous until they are dismissed

I don't understand. I keep being told that there's evidence and everything but then...6 months. I'd think if Trump were so terrible, they'd want to get him behind bars as soon as they could.
-
6 months is the standard extension.
-
I did not know that, thank you. You're a very helpful piece of headwear.
