Nowadays, Korean women wear masks to cover their faces and look around for holes even when going public restrooms. #Spycams are hidden in wall, and even INSIDE toilet. These crimes are rampant, also committed at public baths, gyms, swimming pools and lodging facilities. #혜화시위pic.twitter.com/ksShOA6TLw

#Spycams are everywhere in Korea - so easy to install. Here are a few examples. So easy for a guy to look up a girl's skirt in subway as cams can be inserted inside shoes... #혜화시위 FYI men also spy on other MEN, especially at urinals and changing rooms. Here's a crazy #spycams #몰카: the screw on a toilet door. These things are real, and we have no idea about them.pic.twitter.com/jh3If52Itt

HOLY SHIT my friend just snapped this in women's toilet cubicle here in Seoul, Korea. Holes are covered with tissue, in case there might be a hidden #molka #spycam #몰카 behind. Crazy! 이거 장난 아니야 요새 한국 여성 화장실의 실상.jpg #혜화시위pic.twitter.com/9B34vzXfFX

Toothpaste works as well. That’s what used to cover up a hole at a guesthouse’s common showerroom door in Thailand 😁

I work at a paint store. People use things like these to repair damage to walls before painting a room. Added bonus: #spycams are ruined. Keep fighting back, ladies!pic.twitter.com/sQwVl57nnn

Great post. I hope some business owners take the hint. I’ve heard of stories about malls here in America. My local news did a story and said to watch out for things in hotels, dressing rooms, public bathrooms but nothing like this. Very sad. I hope your post helps someone 😕.

From what I've read, when women go to complain about the holes in the stalls, the pervs working there will give excuses like "we're working on repairs" or something similarly weak. This stuff is cheap and helpful for repairs, so... 😉

Oh! Gotcha, they are in on it too . So they have to take it into their own hands! This is so messed up. I’m glad they are getting global attention.

This is legit horrifying and the people that do this are beyond sick. Read up on the case with the woman who is being severely punished as opposed to men who performed the same crime and got a slap on the wrist. I hope the govt officials wake up and do something about this stuff.

It has to do with the misogyny culture in South Korea. When a man committed a sexual crime, it's a one tiny little mistake he accidentally made in his much more important life than his victims. When a woman committed... she gets to be crucified publicly.

Yeah.. when I was doing research for my project, I read a lot about the oppression and misogyny against women even hundreds of years ago. It seems so ingrained in the society, but I hope the women of Korea get the recognition, protection, and equality they deserve some day.

My same thoughts, but if your afraid to go to the cities you can give visit the country side? I know it’s not the same but maybe get a different experience than most who visit Korea? 💜

Yeah, definitely! 😊 The countryside is always a great area to visit. Cities tend to be the same but the rural areas are where you find the unique stuff 👌 I'd like to go someday

I can say countryside in S. Korea would be even worse in terms of misogyny. I would stay in cities.

That's sad to hear but there has to be a middle ground somewhere that's safer & fun to visit. It's annoying we can't just visit anywhere without thinking of this stuff...lol
