Seeking asylum is not illegal. Kidnapping children is, though. In fact, it is a Crime Against Humanity when done in a widespread and systematic manner, especially as part of a policy that targets a specific civilian population.

Nice try. Kidnapping - you mean like child smugglers? Btw, seeking asylum through proper channels is Legal. However, SNEAKING into a country w/o going through border checkpoints is not. Claiming asylum when you get caught is just trying to cover up/justify that crime.

Keep moving the goal posts. There is no longer due process for people seeking asylum. CBP and its agents get to decide. That translates to some douche at the border says sorry country is full and turns them away. This is a violation of international law.

Uh...non citizens don’t have same due process rights as Americans. You get that don’t you? We don’t have same rights in other countries either. Try sneaking into Mexico and see how border agents treat you?

Another “alternative fact”. Non-citizens have rights to due process. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfisher/2017/01/30/does-the-constitution-protect-non-citizens-judges-say-yes/#60d92b344f1d …

Ok, I grant you that AFTER they are admitted and processed they have due process. But if you actually read the article, it states that "non-citizens", at JFK are not on US soil. Don't have same US rights. Those attempting to enter illegally, caught at the border, same thing.pic.twitter.com/ZxouDvjYmD

Abolish stated that due process for asylum seekers has been thrown out the window. You said they don’t get due process. I stated they did. You said, “yes, once they get here”, but A PERSON HAS TO BE ON US SOIL TO SEEK ASYLUM. They can come on a plane, ride a donkey, jump a fence.

They can can come legally OR ILLEGALLY. If they present themselves to US officials within a year of entry and are seeking to escape a real threat, they can request asylum and judge after judge has ruled THEY ARE ENTITLED TO DUE PROCESS.

Separating these families without due process is evil and illegal. Period.

And, to head off the Whataboutism, yes, Obama separated families, but it took an egregious act, like a parent bringing in drugs, for it to happen. It wasn’t PBO’s goal to separate families. 45’s Administration explicitly stated it was their goal. https://www.vox.com/2018/6/21/17488458/obama-immigration-policy-family-separation-border …

Sure, let's nitpick on how non-citizens enter US soil while ignoring the more massive Crime Against Humanity of forcible child separations that are not just 'widespread' and 'systematic' (elements of CAH), but also explicitly stated as policy.

She kept moving the goal posts, and I responded with nothing but facts, yet she blocked me. Facts are like bug spray to these people.
