Same here. I talk to my folks on the phone. At work too. I prefer to call than to text. It's much more effective.https://twitter.com/Matarael/status/1023069441351811072 …

Yeah especially for those who have decent relationship with their folk right. They love hearing our voices and it feels nice to keep in touch with them (and others in the family like uncles/aunts. Though I only do so with the elderly. Fuck my cousins).

True. I love hearing my son's voice even as simple as "Hmm", "Yeah", "Sure", "Mom" over the phone. Siblings, cousins, let's just text and PLEASE STOP USING WA CALLS.

I always freeze in horror whenever my phone rings. I usually only pick up the phone when it rings the 2nd time -- perhaps, PERHAPS, it's important. Otherwise please don't call please please

As for parents/family stuff, I Skype/do VC with them. Time scheduled and arranged so I know exactly when to expect it

Aku juga jarang menerima telpon atau menelpon, kecuali immediate family dan beberapa orang tertentu. Di luar mereka, chat atau email aja lah.

Yup. My only exception is my parents, and that's only because they are 78 and have dexterity and eyesight limitations, and even they are mindful enough to make sure I'm not occupied with something else at the start of the call.
