    What with everything else, I suspect not many people noticed that the Economic Report of the President -- the one Jabba the Hutt helped write – says that we basically have no poverty in America 1/

    Chapter 9 of the Report is called: "Reducing Poverty and Increasing Self-Sufficiency in America" and makes the striking claim that the US poverty rate is as low as 2.3% in 2017.

    I just saw a couple tweets complaining about how people were trying to persuade them to get out and vote this year. As someone who's researched the voting rights struggle, I've always found that dismissive attitude pretty infuriating. But never more than now.

    A lone Senator can start a filibuster to cover all the Trump scandals, can do it without permission from anyone & it won't cost a dime. It will suck the air away from Trump, educate voters, fact check, control the narrative & put Trump on the defensive

    Any Senator - esp retiring GOP Senators - who cannot use their time in the Senate RIGHT NOW to save us from Trump has no business planning any future in public office. Filibuster NOW & talk Trump scandals. GOP caucus NOW w/Dems to push (out) McConnel. No more excuses.
