The "Nobel" prize in economics is not actually a Nobel prize. The Swedish Central Bank hijacked that name. Nobel never created a prize in economics.

True. The "real" Nobel prizes are highly questionable too though, especially the peace price which several mass murderers and hypocrites have been awarded with. The whole thing is politicized and corrupt IMO.

Central banks and fed couldn't "control" the economy for the last hundred years cause it's fundamentally inefficient and corrupt. They had their chance. Crypto is not a problem is a solution.

"If we had all the data, in real-time, knowing what people are spending..." Scary.

Even ignoring the dystopian nightmare consequences, this is an extremely foolish economic dogma. No amount of data of people’s use of money could make central banks any less disastrous or more “efficient”. It’s dangerous nonsense and the worst modern intellectual fraud.

Government “macro-economic management” is an intellectual fraud intended to get Stiglitz and other quasi-economists jobs as apologists for Big Government financing.
