    We as a nation don't pay ballplayers. Private business pays them with a share of the revenue they generate. And there are a lot of players in the minors who make less than teachers do.         Lack of tax revenue? How about the way tax revenue is used? Have you ever considered that or is the default position ALWAYS the state, however defined, must TAX more?

        Supply and demand. All resources are scarce since people have unlimited wants and needs. Price is the allocator of resources. You are no more likely to pay more than required to teachers than you are to over market price for a car or home.
