Hello, I'm a professor in a movie, I only reach the main point of my lecture right as class is ending. Then I yell at students about the reading / homework as they leave.

There have been sealed applications like this before, but so far as we know, has never in its history conducted plenary review, including oral argument, in a case that remained entirely under seal...

I hereby propose we call this "Upton Sinclair economics", after the famous line "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it." And minimum wages are hardly the only example 6/

While running for reelection against in August 2018, Cuomo promised to sign a bereavement leave bill. Now reelected, Cuomo just vetoed a bereavement leave bill at the urging of the corporate lobby. If you wanna know what “Corporate Democrat” means, this is it.

Advice for 2020: 1. Focus on voter suppression. It makes no difference how great your candidate is if people can't vote 2. 2019 will be tumultuous and bring unprecedented crises. Measure candidates by how well they understand the new crises and what plans they have to fix them

Thanks to the movement, millions of low-wage workers across the country will see wage increases in 2019. We must raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Across the country, kids were reporting sexual assaults in immigrant children’s shelters. One kid, Alex, decided to come forward. There was surveillance video. But Alex's case wasn't investigated. His isn’t the only one.

Wrong again. Wages have gone nowhere, adjusted for inflation. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Unions are under attack. The only people who have done well are the Wall St. investors and corporate execs who’ve padded their nests with bonuses and buybacks.

Lots of things to say about Elizabeth Warren, but top of my list is the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau -- a truly original policy idea that was incredibly successful until Trump sabotaged it. She's someone who both has deep ideas and gets stuff done. Kind of important?

Excuse me? The president's war powers are reserved for genuine national emergencies, and can't be invoked simply because he doesn't get his way. Keeping up with the daily barrage of Trump's antics can be exhausting, but we must not become inured to this authoritarian behavior.

Message to House Dems: Do NOT vote for “PayGo” in the rules package. It’s a brainless Republican idea that tax cuts or mandatory spending increases must be offset by tax increases or mandatory spending cuts. Totally disables fiscal policy.

A family of four making $50,000 will pay no more than $271 a month in 2019. Instead of getting rid of pre-existing condition protections by backing unprecedented lawsuits, we should make coverage more affordable for those who don’t get financial help.

I was part of the Trustees for Medicare and Social Security and spent a bunch of time understanding the future soundness of Medicare. Here’s what’s up. When Ryan and others say “Medicare will Run out of money in the next decade,” they are (what’s the word?)...lying. 6/

It means that if h care costs grow < 1% lower than currently projected (3% vs 4% say), Medicare has enough funding to meet well over 100% of its needs forever. This is the big news of the cost reduction results today. Better care, no cuts, key to Medicare sustainability.8/
