Regrettably, we cannot pay RAs this year because the grant we applied for was not funded this round. However, we will gladly help students secure funding from their home institutions if this is an option.

Among its many great points, this is a really creative, thoughtful case study of how reverse inference can work well.

Our first pass at exploring the MacArthur Ladder of Subjective Social Status across kids & cultures is out now. Similar patterns to the US: ladder ranking decreases with age, decent reliability, but relationship with follow-up Qs variable across cultures.

Need someone to round out your symposium? Panel? I do social cognition, prosocial/consumer behavior. I also have a lot to say about open science and conducting research in museum spaces. Oh and I’m already in Chicago.

Our new paper is out now in JEP:G! Looking across kids in India, the US, Argentina, & hunter-horticulturalist Shuar kids in Ecuador, we find lots of variation in risk & time preferences, notably that Shuar children are more risk-averse & present-oriented.
