Not sure if it was arbitrary, there may have been a logic. I think the way publishing rights work is that Corel was the one to actually sell Click & Create (or Klik & Create) and Europress sold Klik & Play 2 / TGF. So maybe they didn't want K&P2 to sound too much like K&C/C&C?

The extension/object SDK (Software Development Kit) for Click & Create refers to "Klik & Create" in the EXT.H file headers and the extension filenames for C&C are KC*.cox, e.g. KCINI.cox. I have also heard that at least one of the early MMF examples still called it Klik & Play 2.
