I'm happy that my Python User Group trusts me enough to let me mentor folks by doing Mob Programming, Pull Request Reviews, etc!
My hope is that your Python User Group does more than talks and instead helps build the regions next batch of Python developers! cc:

Also Vegan/Gluten Free Friendly food will be available.
That coworking session is great for folks that need body doubling, have questions about the tools and techniques we use, OR just to have an hour dedicated to DOING THE THING YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF.
I notice I’m spending less time on the bird app. If you want the tweet like experience I am adding things to my microblog rss feed -

My next extension for my SSG is probably going to be a feed aggregator. But it’ll likely be another week.
Organizers have been trying to make hybrid Python conferences impactful to those not in person.
Organizers can learn a lot from what Calvin and his team have been doing since 2019.
Tune In Feb 3 when we chat with
@calvinhp about @pythonwebconf and why they took steps to steps to make a globally accessible virtual event BEFORE THE PANDEMIC!

I have a couple of friends who are hiring (primarily Java) and a couple others who are looking for work (primarily Python). I'm looking to fill out both of these lists and make some good introductions. Whatcha got?
In today's mental health corner. I've been feeling some overwhelm as of late and wanted to share a video that helped me a bit. I'll be fine, Just need to defer/drop some things and get back into the groove.
I'm loving my SSG right now. Less than 100 lines of code to build out a site that uses on RSS to build out a wonderful landing page (while also hosing my blog and a microblog).

Shut it Down Days are a thing that I wish more tech companies did... When I left Elastic, my wife was sad because it meant one 2 less days/month we got to spend all day as a family.
At Elastic, we are seen as human.
We offer sick days, vacation days, Shut it Down Days, bereavement days, and more. We don't offer Unlimited PTO because we want you to actually take your time off - you earn it!
RT these Workplace Green Flags if they resonate with you!
Join the PSF's Diversity and Inclusion work group on the 31st of January for a friendly chat! This will be the first in a series of quarterly meetings sharing news and information about the Python community around the world. 🐍🌍

Got my static site generator updated to handle more types of content and hopefully will be working to actually do thing like documentation. But for tonight I’m happy about new tests that are passing and getting my QuickStart command running again.
Would making project updates on my personal projects be something that people would like to see in YouTube video form. I'm not planning on sharing everything but just things that maybe I learned?
