He had no governing experience, his policy positions are half-baked, and yet, he’s so damn likable that I can almost see myself voting for him.

I genuinely like Andrew Yang but I’m with the NYT: why isn’t he running for city council? President isn’t an entry-level job. (Or shouldn’t be.)

I won’t (probably) but I do think this feeling has made me understand the minds of some Trump voters a little better. For whatever reason (and I certainly don’t get it), they like the guy. There’s a lot of power in that.

This is also a reflection of the current Dem party. How is there no blockbuster candidate right now? Someone who can unite (almost) the entire party? It really doesn’t seem like it should be so hard to unite people in beating Donald Trump.

Whatever the root of this terrible campaign, I dearly hope that everyone who wants Trump out puts aside preferences and just votes for the Democrat. The lesser of two evils is actually less evil.

becaue government experience means nothing in the 21st century. and we don't have enough time for him to climb the political arena to solve our problems.

Yep, our government is already behind in technology and AI, and that preceded Trump. Politicians haven't gotten it right before this, we need someone who understands what we are facing.

The presidents we've had this millenium have failed in many ways regardless of gov't experience. Tax cuts for wealthy, wars, blowing up deficits, half-ass healthcare, increasing inequality, etc. I primarily want to know whether you are scientifically literate and not corrupt.
