    Amazing to see take a 🍪 out of our imagine a time when an astronaut on the wants 🍕 or fresh bread or pie and can just bake it! That time is here! built an oven that can bake almost anything in zero g!!

    “We all enjoyed the smell of baking cookies in the lab today” 🍪🍪 we are beyond happy to make feel & smell more like home for the astronauts! Imagine being away from earth & smelling something so delicious and familiar.

    They baked the space cookies! The cookies needed more than 2 hours in the oven to fully bake (and nobody got to eat them), but mission accomplished. I wrote about the plan back in August:

    Five cookies were baked at various times and temperatures to test optimal baking in space. The astronauts determined the “most successful" baking occurred at 300 degrees, but for 120 minutes. Totally worth the wait though!

    More details about the experiment are in. They have not been taste tested yet but the best looking cookie took 2 hours to bake. Spoiler: the Astronauts could, indeed, smell them. Oh the agony!
