Flatcar never heard of it. So Red Hat failed cloning CoreOS and build a product ( RHEL Atomic Host ) and establish a customer base and just ended up buying the competition ( CoreOS ) and their customer base, with Flatcar Linux being the community fork?
Now that Red Hat has announced the end-of-life for CoreOS Container Linux, @flatcar_linux is about to enter a new era, one we're very excited about.

Or is it entirely kinvolkio project? CoreOS was a fresh of breath in the linux ecosystem and I personally was hoping that Red Hat would stay out of it but great that it as forked and can continue to live on and innovate in a sense.
