Alex Pedersen is telling people that RapidRide J will be delayed because of the West Seattle Bridge and he's happy with that.

Screen capture of social media comment: When I spoke with Alex Pedersen's legislative aide about development issues, he said the Rpaid Ride project has been crippled by the economic impacts of Covid and the west Seattle bridge repair. Likely won't happen, at least for a very long time. He and I shared the opinion that we can do fine with the 70.

Dropped a 10 pm email to him. I haven't gotten a response to anything since May, so I'm not super hopeful of a response.

RapidRide projects rebuild broken pavement that would need emergency replacements anyway, if you cancel a RapidRide project. (Go see Delridge Way now being rebuilt for H Line.) So in that sense, they consume less of @seattldot's budget than the sticker price suggests.

Eastlake Ave from Fairview to the University Bridge is falling apart. Even drivers will get something out of the project.
