Bizarre. So if the charges originated at Amazon and benefited Amazon, was it...someone within Prime trying to bolster sales numbers by creating extra accounts, like Wells Fargo?
Here's a fun fraud to watch out for: after a year noticed that we were being charged mthly for 4 AMZ Prime accts. Charges originated at AMZ, who searched our CC# & verified the fraudulent accts. No products were ever purchased, just Prime fraud. For what? Streaming? Larger scam?

No idea, but the agent clearly did a search on our CC# while I was on the phone and quickly identified 4 accounts using our #, and refunded us $800+ w/o a hiccup. I'd be surprised but anything's possible, I suppose.
