Hi, Katy! You're looking for a starter that looks like pancake batter. That being said, there are many bakers who prefer a "stiff" (AKA dry) starter! Keep it covered (but not quite airtight) to avoid drying out, and add a little extra water if needed. You've got this! Kat@KAF
