And probably one of those things that gamedev students should know. Even if you get your dream job at your dream studio, there's a chance that's only a temporary situation. If you're looking for stability, gamedev is a hell of a gamble.

I'm fortunate in that I (mostly) like moving, and have very little tying me to any one place. Even so, the age of the cat is really starting to become a serious risk.

Been here nearly 4 years and have switched jobs 3 times within the office (2x by my choice). Not the most stables of industries but I often ask those friends in other industries if they're able to talk about everything like at work, I can because I love games/geeky stuff

That's a good summary of my 15 years at the same studio. It can definitely make it hard to relate to people at other studios, but I really love where I am and what I do.
