Those who only associate with the wealthy are superficial but so are those who only associate with the knowledgeable. The ones who only associate with the wealthy are aware of their superficiality but the ones who only associate with the knowledge aren’t.
Boasting about how much knowledge you have is just as superficial as boasting about how much money you have. Shaming someone because of lack of knowledge is just as superficial as shaming someone because of lack of wealth.
I have found this to be true with attention as well. Attention, knowledge, money - they are all superficial currencies of the Ego.
