The examples at the top of op-ed, Macron hiding in a castle etc., were posted on Twitter. I was blocked when I said they were nonsense. On

Good piece. Although I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s plus ça change. And while coverage of recent protests is a bad example, the French media will seemingly skirt around certain sensitive topics. If ever things were to break down one feels many wd be taken by surprise.

Thanks. This was in response to conspiracy theories in the UK that the British government and EU were colluding with the media in some way to cover up what is "really" happening in France. I think the French media has covered the events, but then it is a French story!
