An effective BART needs to have adequate parking to accommodate all modes of riders. That doesn’t mean that affordable housing can’t be allowed above parking. MR housing at transit hubs is the least effective use.

How can a group called mission defenders be so obtuse to oppose regional housing that doesn’t gentrify or displace? If it’s a 500 unit property 40% affordable, how selfish is it to advocate depriving 200 low income families at living in a high resource transit rich community?
