When will housing supply siders in CA start advocating for repeal of the Ellis Act, a state law that allows mass evictions so landlords can take units off the market?

They are also completely silent on Prop 13 and its contribution to housing scarcity.

The only reason we don't talk about Prop 13 much is because it's such a third rail. But there's essentially 100% alignment among YIMBYs I know that it's the root cause of most housing problems in CA.

Yeah "talk about" wasn't the right term for me to use. Many discussions end up there (if they don't start there). But it represents a small share of our actual policy and other concrete organizing work (like getting people to PlanCom).

I reached out to Scott's aide @anniefryman last week asking if they would introduce a new Ellis Act bill next year. Does that count @DeanPreston? :)
