“Gross” doesn’t strike you as too strong of a term for people’s livelihood?
I’m not referring to the police. I’m referring to the neighborhood that refuses to build housing so that the people working in it don’t have horrible commutes and living situations.
You guys really need a metric for how much revenue is lost from Prop 13 and what the tax burden is
also, for people with few, long work shifts in a month, who may prefer to live far from work, it may make great sense for them (& traffic, environment) to have casual, low-cost, part-time accommodation near work, possibly supported by employer.https://twitter.com/kimmaicutler/status/994800596900286464?s=21 …
What do you think will drive the necessary change?
@alanchiu so you live in a gross place? ;) The BA is crazy and wonderful and inspiring which is why over 3 million people are cramming into it. Check out neighboring Menlo Park where I believe the median price per sq ft is around $1000, and lots are much, much smaller.
If you're suggesting Atherton pay the officers enough to afford living in Menlo Park they're probably going to be ok with it.
