Lol - the point of Prop I was to allow proper time for mitigations with the city as were doing through MAP 2020. Meanwhile we’ve had to intervene on many bad projects instead of just focusing on the Mission Plan.

The point was to respond to a severe shortage of housing by further restricting the supply of housing. Genius!

They don’t understand the basics of supply and demand.

I mean shouldn’t we restrict Airbnb’s theft of our housing stock??

If that’s your hotel lobby lie. But we have facts when we represent less than 3% of all housing stock. So yeah there’s that.

But wouldn’t that 3% cause a rise of 3% of supply? That’s huge.

So supply and demand is real? Great. Let's build more housing. Thanks for your support of 827.

So
@kimmaicutler you are pro restricting Airbnb? Or is the housing building push, which progressive support but with strong anti discplacement protections, about subsidizing a tech company?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I've been pro-regulating Airbnb for several years now? Btw, I think the Bay Area pays for about 40% of the $90 billion in personal income taxes that California state government collects every year. http://lao.ca.gov/reports/2018/3805/ca-tax-system-041218.pdf …pic.twitter.com/Z8PHJKogpI

Do you even know that Prop F lost by double digits? The voters voted. Yet the regulations have continued to be monkeyed with what 4 times now. Thanks for going against the public vote in SF. So much for freedom to be in charge of who you have in your home.

Regulations are a process and I should hope that any government revisits them periodically, particular for any new technology-enabled uses.

Oh wait. Scootergate because scooters are so out of control. Never mind homelessness or building regulations. But scooters.
