I’m sharing a personal story about @JaneKim bc I believe most people don’t trust politicians + very few know them personally. I met Jane when we went on vacation w/ shared friends. She is genuinely kind, earnest, & it was clear she puts her career ahead of her own interests.https://twitter.com/janekim/status/992114245901914113 …

We talked late into the night about the issues facing SF - from homelessness to transportation to cleanliness. She has worked tirelessly to improve SF, & also acknowledged how complex each of these issues are. I believe she has both the fortitude & patience to make a difference.

I can’t comment on her political stance but merely wanted to share what I observed over many days of her as a human. Good, decent person.

I think she’s super smart. She’s so smart that she knows that she’s deceiving people with policies that sound compassionate and help her win elections but actually backfire because they’re not financially feasible.

Like this: small size projects don’t produce deed restricted affordable housing. They’re also 100-200K more expensive per unit to build than mid rise housing. She knows this. She’s not dumb.https://twitter.com/jrivanob/status/989197372042330112?s=21 …
