I don’t quite understand what you mean but I would prefer our Mayor do division as it’s generally accepted by the rest of us.

I sat next to Jane Kim on the
@sfbos. She is brilliant and delivered so much for working people including higher levels of affordable housing. She’ll make a great mayor.1 reply 0 retweets 7 likes -

I still wish the math was done like most assume it should be. Affordable % = BMR/Total Homes

Ehhh “five stories on the west side will destroy the sunset/Richmond” is a bad look in my opinion.

Unlike how the YIMBYs would like to paint her in their trickle down categorical world view, Jane Kim approaches housing with compassion and nuance. She will make a fine Mayor!

If you enact policies that sound good and compassionate but actually crush production of both affordable and market rate, and only make ultra-luxury pencil at $1M per unit it *land costs*, is that a win? https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2018/04/26/construction-costs-killing-new-bay-area-housing.html …

Jane Kim has already demonstrated that you can deliver housing with affordability and compassion. As mayor she will deliver more

Um, the planning director of SF literally said that her policy, which sounded good and compassionate on paper, is actually reducing housing proposals in the city. https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2017/07/10/sf-planning-chief-development-boom-housing-crisis.html …pic.twitter.com/TKBK0ffKmq

The planning director’s budget is driven by development fees and has to strike a fine balance btw zoning livable and affordable neighborhood and developer profits and planning dept funding.

Which of Jane Kim’s big win projects has actually been built? Most are stalled out. Every project where she increased the incl% had a corresponding drop in total units and increase in office workers space - people who will be looking for housing. Kim was kicking the can at best.
