I think I know another political figure who says that the press is a tool of the elite and who decries any challenging questions as "fake news."https://twitter.com/JaneKim/status/992114245901914113 …

When you're reporting, usually you ask questions and you might not have all the information. I highly doubt her identity being misconstrued with another Jane Kim would've ended up in the final story.

That was irresponsible journalism bc that's info you could've gotten from a simple Google search. Also, why attack her about her parents, when they could've asked very valid questions about sb287/housing? A much bigger issue.

Let's be honest here: The reason why ppl have doubts about her isn't bc of her parents, it's bc the lack of an ambitious plan for affordable housing. Ask her questions about that.

She claimed in a meeting there would be a $1B housing bond and then that never materialized, probably because it was so large that it would require tax increases on existing homeowners and then she'd have to explain that....

Exactly, so ask her questions about that! Not about her parent's job or what her parents bought 30 years ago.

Oh there are many questions I'd want to know. Like how she claimed she was getting more affordable housing with Prop. C but then it crushed the pipeline in combination with rising construction costs. Even the city planning director John Rahaim said so.https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2017/07/10/sf-planning-chief-development-boom-housing-crisis.html …
