It was YIMBY friendly @DavidChiu who strong-armed the Marin assemblymember into passion SB2 last year so we could have $200-300M more in immediate affordable housing revenue. All the tenant groups who opposed SB827 were AWOL bc they don’t actually GAF outside RC.
Given that the state imports a majority of its workforce talent do you think that some of these problems could be mitigated if we spent more on aggressive retraining for the needed jobs in the area? Tying housing subsidies to upward career swings, hopefully?
We have like a 2% unemployment rate here. I don’t think people not being able to find jobs is the problem.
